Byssoloma pubescens

The asci of this species are club-shaped (clavate). The walls are thick and  become blue when stained by potassium iodide after a pretreatment of potassium hydroxide. The latter trait is not unique to this species or genus, as the asci of many genera take on this color when treated in the same way.
